Summary 9: "Healthcare"

Some people have a medical insurance but some people can't pay it, and then, they uses National Health Service (NHS).
There are lots of medicines you can buy in the chemist, but for more powerful medicines like antibiotics, you can only buy with a prescription.
You can get a prescription from a doctor.
Doctors work in surgeries or health centres.
The NHS also provides Walk-in Centres in more than 60 locations in Britain.
For accidents, for exemple a broken leg or arm, or amergencies, for example a heart attack, you should go to a hospital.
For accidents or emergencies, you should go to a hospital.
But many people prefer alternative medicine, like NHS direct (you can ask what is your healthy problem, and they give you care), and sometimes, people uses Acupuncture, osteopathy or chinese herbs.

Summary 7: "Transport in London"

Transport, is so common in London. Trains, buses, taxis, and sometimes ships are usually good transports in London.
Freddie is a television researcher. He's finding out some differents ways of travelling in London. He starts his journey on his bike, then he locks it in the stations, and after that, he takes the train (many people who lives in suburbs use train to travel into London.

The Docklands Light Rightway trains are controlled by computers.

Summary 8: "Computers"

Computers are now a very important part of life in Britain. Many people have got a personal computer. Young people love playing computer games. Computers will control the way we live, in "smart homes". THey can adjust the temperature; close the blinds, act as a burglar alarm and even turn on the oven. There will be television and Internet sockets in every room. Are computers over taking our lives?

Summary 6: "Maritime"

Ships and the sea are very important in Britain. Britain once had the biggest navy in the world. Even today, many ships are used for exporting and importing goods in containers. Some people also travel by ships to go on holiday or for business. The Queen Mary 2 is the biggest cruise ship. It crosses from Souththampton to Australia. You can visit a museum of maritime history in Liverpool. Outside the museum, there are ships in the parks. Inside you can find out about life on sailing ships. Young men had to climb the rigging to put up the sails. This was a dangerous job.
